Dedicated to Families in Hanover for Over 25 Years
Originally founded as a family medicine residency at the Medical College of Virginia (now VCU Health), Hanover Family Physicians has been committed to providing high quality medical care for over 25 years. Since it's founding in 1987, HFP has been committed to core values of high-quality patient care, service beyond the expected, and service to the local community. The residency program was a central tenant of HFP's committment to community service. In the 14 years of the residency program, HFP trained 57 doctors to serve families across Richmond and beyond.
In 2005, the residency program graduated its last cohort of students and HFP moved to focus all of its attention on patient care. Over the last ten years, HFP has continued to live its core values and ensure high quality care for patients across Hanover and Richmond. Doctors have gone above and beyond the call of duty and volunteered their time for a number of commitments around Richmond and farther afield. Some of these commitments have included serving as the Atlee and Hanover High School team doctors, volunteering at the Richmond free clinic, and donating their time to raise funds for local youth athletics through the annual sports physical night. HFP has also grown its rank of medical providers to better serve the community and now boasts four doctors, one physicians assistants, one nurse practitioner and seven nurses.
